At Smiles Better we have put smiles on childrens faces for over 9 years. Created following a childhood experience from our founder, it was born from a soft spot of wanting to put a smile on childrens faces following his own experience of illness at an early age. After all a smile is SMILES BETTER than a sad face!

About Us
For years, SmilesBetter Charity has worked to provide cheer to children that have life limiting illnesses or children from disadvanteged backgrounds.

children hold the key to our hearts
At the young age of 10 our founder Steve went through a harrowing process of what was a Brain Haemorrage but for 8 weeks of hospital treatment he came accross so many less fortunate children, that either fel to their inllnesses or suffered a lifetime of problems.
All this was in the presence of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Steve survived with little implications but was left with the memories of watching children smile for what could be the last time.
Even at the tender age of 10 and being in a poor condition he still had the time to make other children and nurses smile!
This led to the creation and success of Smiles Better, sending children on trips of a lifetime, recieving special gifts, being able to create special moment for children and their families.

Having worked with more than 20 charitable causes and been present at the most amazing times of watching poorly or disadvantaged children smile, it has created a legacy of memories and special occassion.
All with your help and donations, the genorisity shown over these 9 years has shown no bounds and even during a pandemic we have been able to give children the gift of a smile.
Steve has a goal to bring that smile to as many faces as he can, the charity has grown towards a bigger goal of registering as a formal charity and the ability to reach and touch many more familes and children.

We are always looking for volunteers especially at times when we prepare to give our gifts to children. Without our volunteers it would not happen
Our latest activity
Christmas is a special time. From Arriving at our childrens hospices and homes with the Santa team. Watching the little faces light up and recieve the gifts that we are able to give is such an emotional and special time.
The children are so brave and strong so to give what seems so little to everyone else to place a smile on their face is something that never goes away. The ability to give is so special.
